Jonathan Douglas Jon Lord (9 June 1941 – 16 July 2012) was an English composer, pianist, and Hammond organ player known for his pioneering work in fusing rock with classical or baroque forms, especially with Deep Purple, as well as Whitesnake, Paice Ashton Lord, The Artwoods, and The Flower Pot Men. In 1968 Lord co-founded Deep Purple, a hard rock band of which he was regarded as the leader until 1970. Together with the other members, he collaborated on most of his band's most popular songs. He and drummer Ian Paice were the only continual band members during the period from 1968 to 1976, and also from when it was reestablished in 1984 until Lord's retirement from Deep Purple in 2002. On 11 November 2010, he was inducted as an Honorary Fellow of Stevenson College in Edinburgh, Scotland. On 15 July 2011, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Music degree by the University of Leicester.

Lesiem is a German musical project created in 1999 by the producers Sven Meisel and Alex Wende. The project's music combines elements of rock, pop, electronica, New Age, enigmatic and ambient music, as well as Gregorian chant and other choral music. It is frequently compared to French project Era and the Norwegian artist Amethystium. Lesiem's website makes extensive reference to the group's mystical/spiritual influences.

Dokken is an American heavy metal band formed in 1976. They split up in 1989 but reformed four years later. The group accumulated numerous charting singles and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The band was nominated for a Grammy in 1989. Dokken was composed of founder Don Dokken on vocals, George Lynch on lead guitar, Juan Croucier on bass and Mick Brown on drums. In 1983 Croucier left Dokken in order to join Ratt and was replaced by Jeff Pilson. Currently only Dokken and Brown remain from the original line-up. After several personnel changes on guitar Dokken's attorney Jon Levin stepped in to fill the role in 2004. In 2001 Barry Sparks replaced Jeff Pilson on bass. In 2009, Sean McNabb (formerly of Great White and Quiet Riot fame) replaced Barry Sparks on bass guitar.

Discipline is a Dutch band whose music is along the lines of hardcore punk. Their version of hardcore is, however, significantly influenced by Oi Punk, they themselves describe their music therefore as "Street Rock'n'Roll". The band from Eindhoven has existed since about 1990. It was previously in a different composition and has made ??music under a different name, but they have only 1995 recorded their first demo tape with 5 tracks.

Dash Berlin is a Dutch trance music project created in 2007 by Jeffrey Sutorius, Eelke Kalberg, and Sebastiaan Molijn. The front man of the group is the DJ Jeffrey Sutorius a.k.a Dash Berlin, the number 7 most popular DJ in the world. Sutorius initially started playing drums influenced by his late father who was a drummer in a jazz band, before discovering electronic music. He worked at BPM Records and Mid-Town Records specializing in vinyl, with both stores becoming meeting places for many established Dutch DJ's. Molijn and Kalberg, who were deejaying as Pronti & Kalmani at the time, have credited Sutorius as a vital source of inspiration for some of their biggest records during that time.

Gilbert O'Sullivan (born 1 December 1946) is an Irish singer-songwriter, best known for his early 1970s hits "Alone Again (Naturally)", "Clair" and "Get Down". The music magazine Record Mirror voted him the No. 1 UK male singer of 1972.
