Star duo's history began with the song «You're My Heart, You're My Soul» - superhits released in September 1984. In March 1985 Modern Talking recorded the next hit - «You Can Win, If You Want», and later released their first album «The First Album», which was a huge success and received a 75 "gold" and "platinum" discs. In 1987, consenting members of the group disbanded.
Modern Talking triumphantly returned to the pop scene in the spring of 1998, re-uniting their efforts and released the album «Back For Good», consisting of dance remixes of old songs with the addition of four new tracks. As a result of sales, the album went four times platinum in Germany and has surpassed the platinum mark in some other European countries. From 1999 to 2003, the duo has released five new albums, three of whom also broke the platinum line. Remained on only the style light of modern dance music.
April 11, 2003 Dieter Bohlen at a concert in Rostock, unexpectedly announced the decay of Modern Talking. June 21, 2003 under the open sky of Berlin held a farewell concert duo. 23 June 2003 released the last album: «The Final Album», which includes 20 of the best songs the duo recorded 19 years of its existence.
