A romantic comedy with a topnotch performance from Timothy Hutton, Made In Heaven is a beguiling film for the whole family. The story begins with the untimely death of its hero and his arrival in heaven. After some initial adjustments, he meets Annie, played by Top Gun's enchanting Kelly McGillis, and falls in love. But even in heaven, the course of true love is never easy. Annie is a new soul due on earth and Mike must risk everything and return to earth to find her. Sharply directed by Alan Rudolph (Choose Me, Welcome to L.A.), the film moves with a subtle comic rythym. Laced with a wonderful supporting turn from Maureen Stapleton and a brilliantly disguised performance by one of Hollywood's hottest actresses (whose identity will remain a mystery), Made In Heaven also boasts several surprise cameos. The pursuit of eternal bliss has never been so sly, engaging or magical as it is in Made In Heaven.
