This concert is pure Gabriel energy, starting with a strong “On the Air”, following with the Genesis-like “Moribund the Burgermeister” (would have fit in the Lamb, I think), then on to a GREAT “Perspective” where Levin and Marotta kick asses. The credits don´t mention the sax player who makes a great solo. Then, a Gabriel standard up to these days “Here comes the flood”.

DVD9+DVD5 | Experimental Rock | NTSC 4:3 (720x480) | English (LinearPCM, 2 ch) | 02:41:12 | 9.6 Gb
This musical release from hard rock band John Cale and Band captures two live performances by the band, recorded at the Grugahalle in Essen, Germany on October 13th, 1984 and at the Zeche in Bochum, Germany on March 6th, 1983 for the legendary TV series ROCKPALAST. When Cale appeared on stage at Grugahalle Essen, Germany, October 13, 1984, it was nearly 3 o'clock in the morning. The atmosphere in the hall was as tense and menacing as the concert that followed. Supported by David Lichtenstein, Andy Heermans, and David Young, Cale presented the performance in very rough, sparse, nearly minimalistic arrangements, always cutting the edge and strictly coming to the point in every song. This performance remains one of the most spectacular concerts in the history of the Rockpalast series.

DVD-5 (Untouched) | NTSC 720x480 (4:3) 29.97fps 6200kbps | English (LinearPCM, 2 ch) | 1:04:43 | 3.8 Gb
Michael Schenker has always been an artist who never made false compromises. Even when he was the guitarist in world famous bands as the Scorpions or UFO, his unique style soon became the trademark sound at the time for each of these bands. By the end of the seventies, the typical confines of being in a band began to limit Michael Schenker more and more. So he took the obvious logical step to quit UFO and to form his own band - The Michael Schenker Group.

These three live performances from Germany were all filmed for the famous Rockpalast TV series and see Lofgren at differing points in his career. In 1976 he had released his debut solo album to considerable critical acclaim and was beginning to lay the foundations of his reputation. By 1979 he was well established as a solo artist and influential guitar player. For the third show in 1991, Lofgren had already done a substantial stint in the E Street Band and had just begun to return as a solo performer with his album Silver Lining . All three are great performances and catch the excitement and showmanship of one of America s finest guitar players live in concert.

If there is anyone out there that fits the blues-rock genre to a tee it's Lance Lopez. His riffs are nasty and the grittiness of his voice meshes with them perfectly. His soloing is just as impressive as his riffs. Salvation From Sundown is guitar junky paradise.

Her dark, smoky voice became her trademark and she is 'Germany's only world-class rock and soul singer' (Rolling Stone). On this DVD, the singer/songwriter from Hamburg looks back on her 40 year career with this concert recorded on October 20, 2006. It's a grandiose anniversary which she is celebrating with Jean Jaques Kravetz at the one and only Rockpalast event. The theme here is 'Back To The Roots'... Rumpf's roots lie deeply in the gospel and soul music of American female singers.
